Knoll Custom Home

The Knoll custom home is one of six homes on Elon University’s Loy Farm that have been designed to showcase a variety of unique sustainability strategies, including; reduced site impact, lower energy consumption, onsite energy production, responsible water consumption, water filtration, and low carbon footprint.

The Knoll custom home buries itself in the natural landscape to its advantage. The ground remains at a more stable temperature, which reduces heating and cooling costs. Above, a planted green roof captures water and reduces runoff while also helping to further insulate the building.

This custom design was brought to fruition by Haven Design|Build’s construction team.
